Yummy by Lucy Cousins

Our first book is going to be Yummy Lucy Cousins.

I choose this book because every classroom needs a great book of fairy tales and this one came highly recommended by Peggy Sharp.

Ideas to use for this book:
1. Recipes- have students choose a recipe to go with a fairy tale. Kids can write a how to with pictures. Make something YUMMY in class together. Create a class cookbook.
2. Circle Map on things that are yummy.
3. Tree Map of story elements.
4. Plot diagram.
5. Paper bag book.
