The Underwear Salesman


I have to say that I love this book and i LOVE poetry! What a great way to work on reading and language! This would be a great book for college week. I want to be a bubble bath tester when I grow up......

  1. I agree that this would be good to use for a vocabulary lesson. You could use this for a writing lesson and bring careers into it.

    This book grants students with lots of Vocabulary opportunities...Vocabulary is a huge thing we must address in the classroom. It is tested many times throughout grade levels. Great book!

  3. I really liked the opportunity to use different types of poetry. The vocab was great and my kids enjoyed the silliness.

  4. For some reason I don't really like poetry. However, I will say that I really like this book!! My favorite poem is about the Garbarge Collector. This would be a cool poem lesson...read through some of the poems and let the kiddos create their own poem complete with graphics. I have a lot of really good artist in my class this year!!

  6. My kids loved this book. We talked about the rich vocabulary using the Frayer's Model from CSI.

  7. This books is great to use for vacabulary. The students enjoy funny words used through out the story.

  9. My kids loved the silliness of the book also. It definitely goes along with the whole Future Quest thing. We talked about what knowledge you would have to have to be able to do these jobs.
