What did you think of this book? Of course, you could use it for the obvious: words that sound the same but are spelled differently. What did your kids think? How can you use it to support the curriculum?
I think this would be a great book to use to get students to think out of the box. See if they can figure out the real word being used. It would be fun to let them come up with their own words.
I love this book...great for this season! Challenging the students to figure out what REAL world is involved - is great context clue lesson...The kids really enjoyed the book - Boogie Knights!
It was perfect for Halloween. My kids used both picture and textual clues to help them figure out what was happening in the story. We also discussed rhyming words with helps with phonemic awareness.
This was such a fun book. We talked about the dances and movement and of course they moved. They liked counting down the knights. We just had fun with it.
My kids loved this book too! We did do a lot of talking about what some of the words meant and used our context clues to figure out what was going on. They absolutely LOVED the pictures!
